Beyonce and 22 days nutrition are collaborating on a Campaign for Vegan and Plant-Based Meal Planning until Coachella, and are calling the idea Vegan Time. We all know Queen Bey is flawless. She is honest about ownership of all parts of yourself and is always advocating for these ideas.
”We flawless, ladies tell 'em
I woke up like this, I woke up like this.”
I love this song! I know, it’s older, but it’s still one of my favorite songs to run to. The words always motivate me to see the best in myself. When I’m running (and usually out of breath let’s be honest.), this song never fails to encourage me to be bold about how flawless I am. Every damn day. Even when I don’t feel it. It’s like I’m telling myself through the form of rap that I’m my own bae. I forget often and I need to see and remember the good in me. Usually this isn’t me. I’m the classic introvert in my personal isolation. I’ve had mental health issues that I’ve been struggling with for years. Self-care via health and wellness for me was a total game changer, and I learned how to support myself and give myself room to heal on a physical level as well as emotionally and mentally. I still have ups and downs for sure, I’d be lying if I didn’t talk about that. I don’t know if that will ever change. But finding myself along the way and learning to be okay with the messy bits of my life have actually taught me a lot. Beyonce is one of my daily reminders to be honest with myself, but to also remember to look again for my personal flawless and to remember to internally brag on myself for schooling at life. It feels so freeing to me to do this. I’m still benefiting from that life experience. Good and bad. I'm grateful for my bad days (and sometimes weeks), because I learn so much about myself in those times. Without the experience of bad days, I would forget how familiar the daily loneliness feels, and I would forget the way that pain felt and then I couldn’t write about it. That would ultimately mean the people who felt the same as me couldn’t relate to my story anymore. Connecting with others through my art, writing my story and sharing with others about my journey, is my dream. For me personally, that’s my flawless. I’m chasing it down every day trying to capture that feeling again. I wouldn’t want anything else. I know it’s not perfect. I know I have to work hard, and I’m still learning to find my flawless. But it’s so worth it.
Beyonce carries this idea in every aspect of her work and also her family’s work. Listen to Janet Mock’s Never Before Podcast and you’ll understand what I’m referring to.
Never Before with Janet Mock
Her first episode is about The the Queen mother who raised Beyonce and Solange: Tina Knowles Lawson. She’s is Phenomenal. You see so much love and realness overflowing from that woman. And obviously, her daughters carry the same traits. Now Beyonce is carrying that work into her work life, her respectively private family life, and her charity life. Look up her work here.
She wants us to go on this journey with her. And I’m pretty pumped about it. Powerhouse Couple Beyonce and Jay-Z said this testimonial about 22 days Nutrition:
“We want to challenge you as we challenge ourselves to move towards a more plant-based lifestyle and acknowledge you for standing up for your health and the health of the planet.”
You can sign up for 22 days meal planning, and it will help guide you through the entire process of meal planning and how to help you choose recipes that will be sustainable, and will now be your personal game changer.
